What you get

Bills, in practice.

  • Details captured for you

Upload the bill and its supplier, amount and due date are captured automatically, so nothing has to be typed in twice.

  • Nothing pays without approval

Set who can approve a bill and a limit on what they can approve alone, so a payment only goes out once the right person has signed off.

  • A purchase order before the bill arrives

Raise a purchase order for what you are buying and at what price, so there is a record and an approval in place before your supplier even bills you.

  • Pay straight from the app

Once a bill is approved, pay the supplier directly, and it is recorded against them automatically.

Approvals

Nothing goes out without the right sign-off.

Decide who can approve a bill and set a limit on what they can approve alone, so spending stays within what you have agreed without you checking every one yourself.

  • Approvers and limits you set
  • A bill only pays once it is approved
  • A record of who approved what, and when

It goes to whoever you have set to approve bills, within any limit you have set.

  3. 3

    Pay, and it is recorded

Once approved, pay the supplier and the bill moves to paid, with the record kept for you.

FAQ

About bills.

Straight answers about Payble, your money and how it works.

Does Bills pay my suppliers for me?

Once a bill is approved, yes: you pay the supplier straight from Bills, and the payment is recorded against them automatically.

How are a bill's details captured?

Upload the bill and Payble reads the supplier, the amount, the due date and the line items for you, so you do not have to type them in by hand.

Who can approve a bill?

You decide. Set who can approve bills, and a limit on what they can approve on their own, from Security and controls.

What is a purchase order for?

It is a record of what you are buying, in what quantity and at what price, agreed and sent to your supplier before their bill arrives, so you can check the bill against it when it does.

Where do I see what the business owes in total?

In the credit book, which shows what you owe suppliers next to what customers owe you.

Can I share a statement with a supplier?
