Regulatory information

Who runs Payble, who provides the banking behind it, who regulates them and how to check.

Draft, not yet reviewed by our lawyers

This page is written from Nigerian law and the regulators' published rules, but our lawyers have not yet reviewed it, so it may change before it takes effect.

You should know who you are dealing with, who looks after your money and who oversees them. This page says so plainly for Nigeria. It was last checked against the regulators' and the partner's own published information on 28 September 2026.

Who we are

Payble is a product of MyPayble Technologies Limited, a company based in Abuja. Registered office: Plot 654 Sani Abacha Way, by FCDA/NTA HQRS, Area 11, Garki, Abuja, Nigeria. Company registration number (RC): 1996904.

"Payble" is a trademark of MyPayble Technologies Limited.

We make the app, the online storefront, the payment links, the invoicing and the other tools a business uses, and we support the businesses that use them. We are not a bank.

Who provides the banking

The banking behind Payble is provided by Visual ICT Limited, a mobile money service licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to provide mobile money services. Payble itself holds no banking or payments licence — that licence belongs to our partner, not to us.

  • Partner: Visual ICT Limited
  • Address: 68 Dala Hills Crescent, Brains and Hammers Estate, Galadimawa, Abuja FCT, Nigeria
  • Customer care: support@tagpay.ng, +234 810 093 8329
  • Data protection: info@visualict.com

You can check a financial institution's licence on the Central Bank of Nigeria's website, cbn.gov.ng, which publishes its lists of licensed banks and other licensed institutions.

How deposits are insured

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) insures deposits with the banks that are members of its scheme. NDIC insurance is provided by the NDIC under its own law and rules. We do not provide it and we do not guarantee it.

  • The limit is ₦250,000 per depositor, per insured bank. It counts everything you hold at that one bank together, not each account separately.
  • Deposits above the limit are not covered by the NDIC.

Read the NDIC's own explanation at ndic.gov.ng. If you want to know how the cover applies to the money you hold through Payble, ask us at support@mypayble.com and we will point you to the answer from Our Payment Provider and the NDIC.

The laws we work under

  • Personal data: the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission's directions under it. See our privacy policy.
  • Money laundering and terrorist financing: the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022 and the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.
  • Online crime: the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 (as amended).
  • Consumer protection: the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2018, and the CBN's consumer protection regulations for financial institutions.

Why we check who you are

The law requires our partner, and us alongside them, to know who is using an account and to report suspicious activity to the authorities. So we ask for proof of identity, such as your Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identification Number (NIN), and for business documents where a business is registered. We may ask again later. We can be legally prevented from telling you that we have made a report. Our terms of service say more.
