Cookie Policy

What this website stores in your browser, why, for how long, and how to remove it.

Draft, not yet reviewed by our lawyers

This page is written from Nigerian law and the regulators' published rules, but our lawyers have not yet reviewed it, so it may change before it takes effect.

Cookies are small pieces of information a website saves in your browser. Browsers have similar places for saving things, and this notice covers those too. This notice is from MyPayble Technologies Limited, which runs this website, and it covers this website only. It is short because we use very little.

The short version

  • We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and this website loads no scripts, fonts, videos or trackers from other companies.
  • The only cookie we can set is one that remembers which country site you chose.
  • We ask first. A banner offers Accept cookies or Disable cookies before that cookie is ever set. If you decline, or do not decide, the site still works, it just will not remember your country next time.

Categories of cookies

Cookie policies usually group cookies into a few standard categories. We use exactly one, and none of the others:

  • Necessary cookies: one. pref_country, and only once you have accepted the banner — see "What we store" below.
  • Performance and analytics cookies: none. We do not measure how you use this site with cookies of any kind.
  • Advertising and targeting cookies: none. We do not build a profile of you, retarget you with ads, or share browsing data with any advertising network.

What we store

  • pref_country cookie

    What it is for
Remembers which country site you chose (a short country code, nothing else), so that opening the home page takes you there next time.
    When it is set
Only when you choose a country from the country menu, and only once you have accepted the cookie banner.
    How long it lasts
1 year, or until you delete it.
  • cookie_consent (local storage)

    What it is for
Remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner, so it does not ask you again.
    When it is set
The first time you accept or decline the banner.
    How long it lasts
Until you clear this site's data in your browser.
  • Form draft (session storage)

    What it is for
Keeps what you have typed into the device request form, so that reloading the page does not lose it. It never saves your consent tick.
    When it is set
While you fill in the form.
    How long it lasts
Until you send the form or close the tab.

It is our own storage, set by this website and not by anyone else. Nothing in the table is used to identify you across other websites.

Signing in on the device request form

If you are an existing merchant and sign in on the device request form, your sign-in goes straight to MyPayble Technologies Limited's own servers, and the temporary key that proves it is kept in the page's memory only. It is not written to your browser's storage, and it disappears when you close or reload the page.

Information our servers receive

Like every website, ours receives your IP address, your browser type and the page you ask for whenever you load a page. We use this to deliver the site and keep it secure. See our privacy policy for what we do with information about you and your rights.

Third-party cookies

None. Some websites let other companies — advertising networks, analytics services, social media buttons — set their own cookies through the site. This one does not: pref_country is the only cookie, we set it ourselves, and nothing here shares data with, or loads a script, font, video or tracker from, any other company. If that ever changes, this page changes with it, before it happens.

Other sites of ours

Our representative portal and the Payble app and business portal are separate from this website. When you sign in to them they use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and secure. Their notices tell you what they do.

Your choices

  • Withdraw your consent. Clear this site's data in your browser (or just the cookie_consent entry in its local storage) and the banner shows again next time, so you can choose again.
  • Delete it. Your browser's settings let you see and delete cookies and stored site data, one site at a time or all at once. If you delete pref_country, the site simply works out your country again.
  • Block it. You can stop all cookies in your browser. This website still works; it just will not remember your country.
  • Change your mind about a country. Choosing another country from the menu saves the new choice.

The rules we follow, and complaints

We ask for your consent before we set the one cookie this site can set, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission's GAID and with the EU's GDPR and ePrivacy rules, which take the same consent-before-storage approach. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. If you think we have got this wrong, or have any question or complaint about how we use cookies, tell us at dpo@payble.io, and you can also complain to the NDPC (see our complaints policy).

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if what we store changes, or if the law does. This version was last revised on 29 September 2026. Check back here from time to time; the date at the top of this page is always the true one.
