Website terms

The rules for using this website: what it is, what you may do with it, and what we are responsible for.

Draft, not yet reviewed by our lawyers

This page is written from Nigerian law and the regulators' published rules, but our lawyers have not yet reviewed it, so it may change before it takes effect.

These terms are about this website only. They are between you and MyPayble Technologies Limited ("we", "us"), which runs it. By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. The terms for using the Payble services themselves are separate: see our terms of service.

What this website is

It tells you about Payble and the businesses it is for, and it has guides, calculators and forms. It is general information. It is not financial, tax, legal or business advice, and you should not rely on it as such.

  • Prices and fees shown here are indicative, and the calculators and estimators are illustrations based on the numbers you enter. The price that applies to you is the one shown to you in the app or on your order, before you confirm it.
  • Products marked as coming soon are not available yet, and we cannot promise when they will be.
  • What is available can differ from country to country, and we may change or remove anything here at any time.

Using the website

You may use the website for your own personal or business use, to find out about Payble or to get in touch with us. You must not:

  • break the law, or use the website to cheat or mislead anyone, including by pretending to be someone else or to be us;
  • attack, probe, overload or try to get into our systems, or send anything harmful to them;
  • copy the website in bulk with a bot, scraper or similar tool, or remove any notice of ownership from it;
  • send us false, careless or someone else's details in a form, or another person's personal data without a proper reason and, where the law requires it, their permission;
  • use it in a way that breaches our acceptable use policy.

If you break these rules we may block your access to the website.

Forms and what we do with your details

When you send us a form, such as a request for a device, a job application or your interest in a feature that is coming soon, we use what you give us as our privacy policy explains. Job applications also have their own notice: how we handle job applications. What we store in your browser is explained in the cookie notice.

Where a form asks whether we may send you news or offers, we only do so if you tick the box, and you can stop them at any time. Non-essential cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Who owns what

The website, its text, design, software, tools and the Payble name and logo belong to MyPayble Technologies Limited or to the people who licence them to us. "Payble" is a trademark of MyPayble Technologies Limited. You may view the website, print a page for your own use and share a link. You may not copy, sell or reuse anything else on it without our written permission.

Photographs and film are used under their owners' licences. They are described on our credits page. People shown in them are not Payble customers or field sales representatives unless a page says so.

Availability and our responsibility

  • We try to keep the website working and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, complete, up to date or free from errors, or that it will be safe from viruses or attacks.
  • We are not responsible for a loss that comes from relying on the general information on the website, or from something outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of the internet, electricity or your device.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for fraud or dishonesty, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in them takes away any right you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2018, the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, or a regulator's rules.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the law changes, when the website changes or to make them clearer. The date at the top of this page says when they were last changed. If you keep using the website after a change, that means you accept the new terms. The old version does not apply to anything you do after the change.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and its courts can decide any dispute about them, but this does not stop you from complaining to a regulator, or from using any court that the law gives you the right to use. See our complaints policy.
